Being released from prison or youth detention

If you are facing homelessness upon being released from prison or a Youth Detention Centre, there are a number of options available to you.

Local services Toggle accordion

Local probation offices offer housing and rehabilitation advice for prisoners serving their sentence in London or Hertfordshire. They may also be able to provide temporary accommodation.
 

The Cornergate Foundation works with prisoners and ex-offenders to support successful resettlement after prison.

Herts Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of Offenders offer support and housing advice ex-prisoners moving back to Hertfordshire and for prisoners being released from HMP The Mount (Bovingdon).

Probation work with ex-offenders who have just been released to complete their sentence plan. They offer a range of interventions to help with this, including accommodation advice.
