St Albans City and District Council have received a planning application for the Land East of Hemel Hempstead. 

Application description:

Outline application for an urban extension comprising two new neighbourhoods, a new employment zone, retail, commercial, education and community facilities, medical centre, gypsy and traveller pitches, green infrastructure, SANG and sustainable drainage systems, vehicular, cycle and pedestrian routes. All matters reserved save for access from A414/Green Lane and access from B487/ Hemel Hempstead Road (Redbourn Road).

This development forms a key part of the  Hemel Garden Communities programme

This is a cross-boundary application that falls within both St Albans City and District Council and Dacorum Borough Council’s administrative boundaries. Each Local Planning Authority will assess the part of the application that falls within their administrative boundary, with St Albans District Council acting as the Lead Planning Authority.

Please note that the Local Planning Authority will consider public comments on the part of the application that falls within their administrative boundary. The site is designated as "Allocations H2, H3 and H4" in the St Albans City and District Council Draft Local Plan 2041.
