Zone M

Zone M Review

It is good practice for local authorities to monitor and review the operation of waiting, loading, and parking places to ensure they remain effective and fit for purpose.

 

The general effect of the Order would be in the zone M controlled parking zone to: -

 

  1. Extend the current operational hours of the zone M from Monday to Saturday between 8.30am and 8pm to Monday to Sunday between 8.30am and 10pm.

     

  2. Reduce the maximum number of resident permits per household from (a) 3 or 2 for properties with off-street parking (driveway/garage) to (b) 2 or 1 for properties with off-street parking (driveway/garage) and review eligibility.

     

  3. Remove the solo motorcycle bay in Hart Road and Keyfield Terrace and extend the permit holder parking place in the same location.

     

  4. Reduce Double Yellow Lines on Keyfield Terrace and replace with a zone M permit holder parking place.

  5. Amend the Terms and Conditions with a removal of the One-hour Visitor Voucher 

     

  6. Removal of the One hour On-Street pay and display / pay by phone service on Keyfield Terrace and replace with a zone M permit holder parking place.

     

  7. Revoke redundant disabled parking places at various locations and extend permit holder parking places in the same location.

     

  8. To make further amendments to waiting, loading, and parking place restrictions at various locations to bring the map-based Orders in line with the on-street layout.

Zone N

Zone N Review

  • The general effect of the Order in Zone N would be to -
  • Extend the current operating hours of Zone N in Bardwell Road, Belmont Hill, Grove Road, Holywell Hill, Pondwicks Close, Sopwell Lane and Thorpe Road from Monday to Saturday between 08:30am and 8:00pm to Monday to Sunday between 08.30am and 10:00pm.
  • Extend the current operating hours of Zone N in De Tany Court from Monday to Saturday between 08:30am and 6:30pm to Monday to Sunday between 08.30am and 10:00pm.
  • Change the operating hours of the Zone N permit holder parking places for the shared use bays (paid parking and permit parking) on Holywell Hill from Monday to Saturday 08:30am-6:30pm to Monday to Sunday 08:30am-10:00pm.
  • Change the operating hours of the Zone N permit holder parking places for the shared use bays (paid parking and permit parking) on Holywell Hill from Monday to Saturday 08:30am-6:00pm to Monday to Sunday 08:30am-10:00pm.
  • Remove limited waiting (2 hours no return within 2 hours) from the shared use bays (limited waiting and permit parking) on Belmont Hill and replace with Zone N permit holder parking places only.
  • Remove the solo motorcycle bay on Belmont Hill and,
  • Reduce the double yellow lines on Belmont Hill and extend the Zone N permit holder parking place in the same location.
  • Reduce the single yellow line on De Tany Court and replace with a Zone N permit holder parking place.
  • Revoke redundant disabled parking places and extend Zone N permit holder parking places in the same locations.
  • Remove the One-hour Visitor Voucher.

Zone F Review

  1. The general effect of the Order which come into effect on 28/02/2025 in the zone F controlled parking zone is to: -

  2. Extend the current operational hours of the zone F CPZ (single yellow lines and parking places) from Monday to Saturday between 8.30am and 8pm to Monday to Sunday between 8.30am and 10pm.

  3. Reduce the maximum number of resident permits per household from (a) 3 or 2 for properties with off-street parking (driveway/garage) to (b) 2 or 1 for properties with off-street parking (driveway/garage).

  4. Remove the solo motorcycle bays in Bernard Street, Church Street and Grange Street and extend the permit holder parking places in the same locations.

  5. Reduce double yellow lines in St. Peter’s Street and replace with a zone F permit holder parking place. 

  6. Revoke redundant disabled parking places at various locations and extend permit holder parking places in the same location.

  7. To make further amendments to waiting, loading, and parking place restrictions at various locations to bring the map-based Orders in line with the on-street layout.

Warning notices will be issued during the first 2 weeks, giving residents time to purchase a permit.
